‘Tis (always) the season!
I was messing around with “D” tuning on my guitar, and this is what it turned into. I had everything but the verses. My friend Mike Green – a gifted singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist – and I had spoken several times about collaborating on a song, so I asked him if he’d like to write some verses and sing them. He did and I loved it.
I originally started to write a Christmas song, but it wasn’t progressing as quickly as I’d hoped. So I thought The Lion And The Lamb would be a perfect song for a season traditionally celebrating peace and love. Plus it’s non-denominational. So there’s that. 😊

Lyrics
The Lion And The Lamb
Living in this crazy world
It’s gotten so out of hand
Where’s our faith in humanity?
Where is the promised land?
Doesn’t take a holy man
To recognize the plan
Love between the lion and the lamb
Where did our human nature go?
Everybody’s so afraid
We’re shutting windows and locking doors
Just like prisoners in a cage
Everyone can understand
There’s no greater glory than
Love between the lion and the lamb
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
How do we get through these troubled times
When no one cares to see?
The love we have deep in our hearts
Is all we’ll ever need
I can see the promised land
A miracle at hand
Love between the lion and the lamb
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
